Tuscany I - under construction :)

Following the completion of Tuscany island aHead has been asked to design and build its sister island - Tuscany I. While Tuscany is simply a typical real life region ambience recreation in Second Life, the upcoming sim will have a bit more of a gaming aspect to it, bacause we plan to make it a one giant.... circus. Stay tuned, more info and photos to come soon.

Mike Gravel's HQ in SL opened

We were very keen to hear that Gravel's HQ in SL proved to be a success:
Robb Rail May 18th, 2007 at 9:49 pm " I have to admit, it looks like a great HQ! There is plenty of room for gathering large crowds. The design is crisp and clean with smooth lines. It is clearly the best looking SL Presidential Campaign, but Gravels group has come so late, I wonder if they can compete with thier democratic rivals? Staffing, seems to be the most important measure of an inworld campaign. As the Edwards Campaign clearly shows you don’t have to have a great looking HQ as long as you provide content and someone to great you. In my view, all Second Life campaigns come down to the original form of politics, meeting people. I am not convinced that Gravel, or any of the smaller candidates, have the in world momentum and man power to make the kind of impact that the early HQs did.

Of course, there has yet to be a visit from a Presidential Candidate inside SL. And whoever scores that visit, whether they are a large group or a small group deserves alot of praise from everyone who has taken an interest in SL Campaingns and Political HQs."

Below is another photo from the opening.

(the very next day the official SL commitee decided to move elsewhere because of some legal issues)
LONG LIVE DEMOCRACY!

Enjoy!

Fish goes Presidential!

Astrophisicist McCallister - a political advisor from the United States of America kindly asked aHead's CEO - Cezary Fish, to develop the Presidential Campaign Grounds in SL for a democratic candidate Mike Gravel. On a plot of 6000 square meters Fish designed the Campaign Office, the Info Terraces and the Meeting Area Platform. Following are some pictures showing the work in progress:

1. Aerial view of the Presidential Campaign Grounds at daytime.

2. Aerial view of the Presidential Campaign Grounds at night (with artificial lighting).

3. The Campaign Offices

Cezary Fish tried to keep the delicate balance between natural simplicity and elegance in this project. Hopefully he succeed :)
